FAQ
Questions about your PlentyONE project.
Can we keep using our existing ERP, WMS or CRM system?
Yes. PlentyONE can complement your existing system landscape. It manages your marketplace business centrally while your current systems keep doing what they already do.
Alternatively, PlentyONE can serve as your central e-commerce solution and take over additional ERP functions. At the start of the project, we define together the role of PlentyONE, the data exchange between systems and the integrations required.
How long does a PlentyONE implementation take?
For an initial launch, around three to six months is a realistic guideline. The actual timeline depends on the project scope, your existing systems and how well prepared your data and processes are.
We often start with a clearly defined scope, such as a single marketplace. Once it is successfully connected, we add further marketplaces and workflows step by step. A larger rollout can therefore take longer. Together we agree on a timeline that fits your plans.
What does a PlentyONE implementation cost?
Smaller implementation projects are often in the four-figure euro range. Medium-sized to larger projects usually start in the low five-figure range. Costs depend on the project scope and the integrations required, especially if custom development is needed.
These figures refer to our implementation services. The cost of PlentyONE itself is not included. We agree on the exact scope and project costs with you before work begins.
Do you offer training so our team can use PlentyONE independently?
Yes. Our implementation projects are designed so that your team can work with PlentyONE independently. We carry out recurring tasks together and explain every step, for example for day-to-day operations or connecting additional marketplaces.
One-off tasks that require deep technical know-how are usually handled by us. Which topics we work on together depends on your team's existing knowledge, internal capacity and the level of independence you want.
Is PlentyONE also suitable for larger manufacturers?
Yes. For manufacturers who want to implement their D2C strategy via marketplaces, PlentyONE can complement the existing system landscape. It manages marketplace processes centrally while existing systems keep their current tasks.
This lets you start with selected marketplaces and a clearly defined project scope, and then add more marketplaces and countries step by step.
Our customer medisana is one example: we integrated PlentyONE as a specialised marketplace solution into the existing system landscape and implemented the D2C strategy across more than 30 marketplaces in ten countries.
Do I need a custom project, or is a connector enough?
If you already use PlentyONE, your system is set up correctly and you only want to connect another marketplace, the right connector is usually enough. You can order it directly on the relevant connector page. Personal onboarding is available as an optional add-on if you would like help with the setup.
A custom project makes sense if you are implementing PlentyONE for the first time, integrating additional systems or making more extensive changes to data structures and workflows.
